April Fool’s With Skippy

BOCA RATON – Appropriately for April Fool’s Day, Flip Schultz – but not Flip Schultz – is headlining at the Biergarten.

Thursday’s free show brings the return of Schultz’s character Skippy Greene, a retired comic who made his living performing in the Catskill mountains.

For those yet to experience a Skippy Greene show, it can be spectacular.

Without giving too much away, he’ll punctuate raucous stories about hobnobbing with celebrities with references to popular Saturday morning cartoon characters. It works.

The Biergarten show includes Nadeem Awad, Zach Bugarin and David Sadman as host. And with these shows, a special guest always seems to appear from nowhere.

Last week, as part of the Happy Habibis show headlined by Ahmed Ahmed, Sadman Comedy Productions ended the show with a belly dancer.

Who knows what could be in store for a show held on April 1.

Applause Planner – Plan On It

Hennessy Williams – Tuesday, March 30, Majestic Ash Lounge
If you love comics named after brandy, this show is for you. Hennessy Williams is the top shelf here, fittingly performing on a show produced by Corey Cognac. Williams has been performing primarily in the northern part of the Applause Break coverage area so this West Palm Beach show provides a great opportunity for southern comedy fans to check him out. Giovanni Neal and Carlos Miguel are also performing as part of this free show.

Dale Jones – Wednesday, March 31, Palm Beach Improv
Jen Hellman assembled a strong crew for this show, which benefits her Comics Crushing Cancer charity. High energy national comic Dale Jones headlines the show. Los Angeles comic Jason Rogers returns to South Florida joining a bill that includes Hellman, Nadeem Awad and Mike Cintron.

Andrew Dice Clay / Vic DeBititto – Saturday, April 3, Boca Black Box
Miss either of these two legends when they came through South Florida last month? This time they are on the same bill, performing together for two shows on Saturday in Boca Raton. Seeing them, however, will be costly. Ticket prices are set at $100 for general admission, $125 for VIP.
