BOCA RATON – February’s grand opening show at the Sadman Comedy Speakeasy Lounge is widely considered South Florida’s 2021 comedic highlight thus far.

On Wednesday Sadman Comedy Productions hopes for a second lightning strike.

Three of the four headliners from that first show return to attempt to recapture the magic from that incredible night of comedy. All killed (see the mashup video from that show).

Returning to the stage are Jimmy Shubert, Bruce Smirnoff and Richie Minervini – all national acts who have countless television appearances and specials between them.

“I want to do a completely different set,” Smirnoff said.

Joining the trio is Steve Simone, replacing Don Gavin, who had a previous engagement. A regular on the Los Angeles comedy scene, Simone boasts multiple appearances on Comedy Central – telling high-energy stories that keep engaged audiences in a constant state of laughter.

Local comics Nadeem Awad and Stephanie Wood are also scheduled to perform. Like Simone, Wood didn’t perform at the grand opening.

David Sadman reprises his role as host.

Tickets for the show are $25 and are close to selling out. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the comics taking the stage at 7:30. To reserve a ticket, call 561-800-4090.

If this show even approaches hilarity its predecessor, it’s a must-see.

Applause Planner – Plan on It

Tickets are $35 for general admission, $45 for VIP.

Thirsty Thursday’s Comedy – Thursday, March 11, The Butcher Shop and Beer Garden
The Butcher Shop in West Palm Beach has offered some good shows of late – and there are more on the way. This show boasts several local feature comics: Pookie F. Baby, Mariza Brussolo, Lalo Rodriguez, Randy Vega, Charly Esturilho and Abby Ballin. Corey Cognac produces the show and also serves of host.
