DELRAY BEACH – Nearly two months after an automobile accident that nearly killed him, comic Avi Liberman is back on the road.
Liberman achieved a goal he set shortly after that accident by keeping a booking to perform in Las Vegas on Monday night.
Getting to that point wasn’t easy.
Liberman was visiting South Florida in May when he was the passenger in a car that was T-boned on the passenger side.
Medics rushed Liberman to the hospital where he underwent emergency brain surgery.
Not long afterward Liberman flew to Houston to continue his treatment and rehab. During that time he made a few appearances on stage in preparation for Monday’s Las Vegas show.
Liberman still experiences partial face paralysis, but he expects that to subside in the coming weeks.
Otherwise, his jokes are on point.
Days prior to his accident, Liberman performed at the Sadman Comedy Speakeasy Lounge in Boca Raton, Fla. Applause Break recorded the above video clip during that performance.
