WEST PALM BEACH -OK, let’s try this one again.

Last week the Applause Planner selected local comic Nadeem Awad’s headlining appearance at the Palm Beach Improv as the best looking show of the week. Well, Hurricane Nicole’s surprise arrival changed that, postponing the show to this week.

Nicole, however, didn’t wash away the Applause Planner’s enthusiasm for the show, which will now occur on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the Palm Beach Improv.

This will be Awad’s second headlining gig at his home comedy club, the Palm Beach Improv.

A year ago Awad packed nearly 400 fans into the PB Improv for a show that demonstrated a strong and deep reservoir of material. Awad now boasts a year’s worth of new bits, jokes, and observations – though some of the classic routines fans have come to love may find their way into the set.

David Sadman once again joins Awad on the Nadeed Awad and Friends Improv lineup. Current Florida’s Funniest Comedian semifinalist Nathan Wallace, along with Jim Patterson and Steve Lamm, are also scheduled to performed – and some special guests are likely to join them.

With ticket sales in the same neighborhood as last year’s show, the night figures to be a raucous adventure in local comedy. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are $25 in advance, $30 at the door.

Awad is one of South Florida’s top local comics. For those looking to see big national names, this week also offers other strong performances. There should be plenty of laughter to go around. It’s shaping up to be a good week to catch more than one show.
