DELRAY BEACH – South Florida comedy fans understood Cam Bertrand’s breakout could happen at any moment.

That moment has arrived.

A nationwide television audience learned last week what South Floridians have known for years: Bertrand is pretty darn funny.

NBC’s America’s Got Talent featured Bertrand last week. An internet version of his initial appearance already has nearly 2 million views. Simply put, Bertrand rocked.

Technically, Bertrand isn’t a South Florida comic. He hails from the Tampa area, but has spent more than his fair share of time performing in this area.

He’s also the reigning Florida’s Funniest champion, earning the title by winning the final round at the Palm Beach Improv.

Now, Betrand prepares to return the PB Improv on Wednesday – and it’s clearly the Applause Planner Pick of the Week.

He’s headlining the Laughs on Blast show that night. Nadeem Awad, Hennessy Williams, Ryan Scott and Corey Cognac are also scheduled to perform, with Nileja serving as host.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Get after it folks.

Applause Planner – Plan On It

Sunshine State Comedy – Wednesday, July 14, The Dubliner.
Not everyone will be able to attend Bertrand’s show at the PB Improv. This free show doesn’t have the same fire power, but it still packs a punch. Clyde Gordon recently headlined a show at the Biergarten in Boca Raton. He’ll be back in Boca Raton on Wednesday, performing along with Lalo Rodriguez, David Sadman, Minda, and Riley Edwards. The Dubliner’s $5 whiskey specials make for a nice evening.

Dean Napolitano – Thursday, June 15, Il Toscano
Napolitano is back in South Florida highlighting a trio of strong shows on Thursday. Rodriguez is performing on back-to-back nights. Cindy Ann Boisson is also on the bill, with and Hiram Rios hosting. The 7:30 p.m. show is free with the purchase of a dinner or two drinks.

Blue Jean Blues Comedy Show – Thursday, June 15, Blue Jean Blues
Dan Bakst and Jon Turkel are among the performers for this show, hosted by Nik Macik. Seating for the free show opens at 7 p.m., with comics taking the stage at 8.
