DANIA BEACH – The daiquiris are flowing in Dania.
Attached to the Dania Improv and sharing ownership, the 14 North daiquiri bar is now serving Improv patrons and other revelers in Dania Beach.
Featuring a wall with 14 colorful churning daiquiri machines behind the bar, 14 North has yet to formerly announce a date for its grand opening celebration, but the bar is currently undergoing an extended soft opening.
“I say soft opening because they don’t have the full marketing, and promotions, and social media out yet for it,” Dania Improv general manager Dylan Kerns said. “Basically we’re fully open.”
That means that South Florida comedy fans who head to the Dania Improv to see John Crist perform this weekend will be able to partake in a daiquiri or two before, during and after the show.
Featuring indoor and outdoor seating, a complete liquor bar, and a full menu, 14 North often brings musical acts to entertain the bar crowd. Patrons do not need to purchase a ticket to a comedy performance to eat or drink at 14 North. There is also no cover charge to enter the bar.
“A lot of people are walking by and they are like, Oh, what is this?” Kerns said.
The Dania Improv opened in August of 2021. Owners are working on a date for 14 North’s official grand opening party, which is expected to include live music and promotional giveaways.
Some big name comics are scheduled to perform at the Dania Improv during the remaining weekends in March. Carlos Mencia performs at the Dania Improv beginning on Thursday. The following weekend stand-up legend Dom Irrera comes to South Florida. Mark Normand performs the final weekend of March, beginning Thursday, March 31.
