The growing comedy scene is producing an increased amount of comedy clubs in Florida, bringing the top comedy shows to the Sunshine State.
Yes, that’s not totally unexpected. Florida is a big state. But there’s something else brewing. Florida’s comedy scene has always been robust, but in recent years a batch of young comics elevated the craft, garnering even more national attention.
Fans aren’t surprised to learn of the existence of top comedy shows in Orlando, comedy shows in Fort Lauderdale or comedy shows in Miami. But many are surprised to learn there are several West Palm Beach comedy clubs and other smaller comedy venues throughout the state.
Here’s our list of comedy clubs in Florida. Check back frequently. We’re starting with the South Florida area but are adding new clubs all the time.

Looking for a comedy club in Boca Raton? Boca Black Box is as close as it gets. The venue brags that it offers “entertainment in a comfortable, NY style setting.” The 275 seat venue that offers a variety of entertainment. Along with hosting musical acts, Boca Black Box brings some of the top comedy shows to Florida each month. It’s probably he closest to a true comedy club in Boca Raton. And now Black Box 2.0 – a smaller, more intimate room – has opened next door.

Boasting “biers, brats and bands,” the Biergarten is enjoying success with comedy nights. Held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, Biergarten brings a German flair to one of the more unique comedy venues in South Florida. As the COVID-19 rules limiting attendance began to relax, several national comics used the Biergarten’s stage to refine their acts before heading on the road. You never know which stand-up comics you might see at the Biergarten.
Tin Roof

Located at the west end of Delray’s Atlantic Ave. strip, the Tin Roof is relatively new to the comedy scene. Billing itself as a “live music joint,” Tin Roof expanded its entertainment forcus to bring some comedy shows to South Florida. Bret Ernst and Flip Shultz are among the national acts to showcase their comedy in Delray. Shows are usually held the last Monday of every month. With some special shows sprinkled in between, Tin Roof is quickly becoming one of Florida’s fastest growing comedy venues and a hotspot for comedy in Delray.

More of a local’s bar than a true comedy club in Boca Raton, The Duck began adding shows featuring local comics before the pandemic struck. The shows drew good crowds and strong reviews, so they are worth checking out. They don’t happen every month, so check their web site before heading to the bar.
Sunrise Theatre

The beautifully restored 1,200-seat Sunrise Theatre, located in downtown Fort Pierce, features all kinds of entertainment in an intimate setting. National touring comics are booked into the Comedy Corner, located within the Sunrise Theatre, every second and fourth Saturday night of each month. Fort Pierce may not be one of Florida’s top cities for stand-up comedy, but twice a month the Sunrise Theatre gives its community plenty to laugh about.
