DELRAY BEACH – Think Thanksgiving week will force the South Florida comedy train to slowdown?

Think again. Everything’s right on track.

While there are now shows on Thursday, the remainder of the week offers quite a few with plenty of upside.

Applause Planner has its eye on a show in an underrated location.

Lake Park’s Brewhouse Gallery offers craft beers – some of which they brew themselves – in an artistic setting conducive to a good time.

Fresh off a fantastic set at The Duck on Saturday, Drew Illa is probably the biggest name on Saturday’s show. With Dan Caso, Steve Lamm, Stephanie Wood and Franco Harris also scheduled to perform, the best set of the night could come from anyone.

Producer Daniel Ferrer will serve as host for the free show, which begins at 8 p.m.

Grab a craft beer, see some art and laugh. It’s a pretty good way to spend a Saturday night.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 26
Christian Finnegan – Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton
Comedy on the Green presents a night with Christian Finnegan, star of two Comedy Central Specials and known around the world as Chad from The Chappelle Show sketch The Mad Real World. Along with feature act Nery Saenz, it’s a strong night of stand-up comedy at the Mizner Amphitheater in downtown Boca Raton. The show begins at 6 p.m. Ticket prices range from $38-$71. Great location. Hilarious comics. Comedy on the Green could quickly become one of South Florida comedy’s best monthly shows.

Florida’s Funniest Comedians – Delray Beach Playhouse, Delray Beach
Here’s another venue that’s offered some sneaky-good shows of late. As part of their Florida’s Funniest Comedians series, the Delray Playhouse brings Mike Rivera and Michael Murillo to Lake Ida on Saturday. Comedy fans looking to see stand-up in a nice theater setting should hit the Delray Playhouse.

L.A. Hardy – Gatsby’s Joint, Fort Lauderdale
In recent months Nileja’s Last Friday’s shows have placed top-level comics infront of good-sized crowds in a cool setting. L.A, Hardy headlines this month’s show, which is a positive. A strong undercard includes Charly Esturilho, Grant Toliver, Jay McCoard and Dania Improv Turkey Contest winner Seetha. Tickets are $10, but there’s incentive to arrive early. The first 10 fans to the venue earn a free drink.

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 26 – SUNDAY NOVEMBER 28
Dov Davidoff – Palm Beach Improv, West Palm Beach
When PB Improv co-owner Rene Harte proclaims Davidoff to be one of her favorite national comics – as she did in a recent social media post – the guy must be good. Davidoff currently appears on HBO’s “Crashing” and NBC’s “Shades of Blue.” He’s been seen on The Tonight Show and Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel. Davidoff performs five times over three days. Tickets are $22.
