DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – Steve Trevino – AKA “America’s Favorite Husband” – will show why he’s earned than moniker this weekend in West Palm Beach.
Beginning on Thursday, Trevino will be playing five shows in three days at the Palm Beach Improv. That first show, which begins at 8 p.m., is the Applause Planner pick of the week.
“My goal is to make sure that everyday married men can laugh at themselves,” Trevino says on his website. “Life wasn’t horrible for me. I didn’t have this crazy struggle. I’m just an average married man madly in love with my above average wife—and I want to make her happy. I think that translates to the audience. My narrative is I’m a normal dude trying to be a good spouse and father, just like you.”
Trevino is one of the fastest rising comics in the nation, doing much of his work through social media where he’s amassed nearly 1 million followers.
His television credits include The Late Late Show, Comics Unleashed and BET Comic View. Trevino also wrote on Mind of Mencia and produced and wrote on rapper Pit Bull’s La Esquina. His first Showtime comedy special, Grandpa Joe’s Son, was incredibly well received. His second special, Relatable, is available on Netflix.
Of the five shows, why are we picking the Thursday show in particular? Because of the feature act. Local rising comic Nadeem Awad will be the feature on that show. For those who haven’t seen Awad yet, get to it.

Applause Break will make the short trip to Boca Raton to catch this show. Freddy Stebbins is headlining, which is great in and of itself. Two Applause Break favorites, Zach McGovern and Awad, will also take the stage. Brittany Brave, Johnny Azari, and Josh Rosen are also scheduled to perform.
Bob Marley – Fri. Feb 5, Lake Park Black Box
Those who missed Marley this past weekend at the Boca Black Box will get a second chance to see one of the nation’s funniest comics. He’s appeared on all the late night shows. Marley’s know for his high energy performances. Tickets are $46.35 for general admission and $61.80 for VIP.
