DELRAY BEACH – Nearly 10 years after his initial performance at the Miami Improv, Chris Roe is preparing to take that stage for the first time as a headliner.

Roe brings his dark humor to Wednesday’s Oh G comedy show in Miami with hopes that this show is a harbinger of big things to come.

“It’s a big milestone for me,” Roe said. “I’ve been tightening up a lot of those jokes for a very long time. There’s a lot of new jokes in there, too.”

Roe plans on making the most of this opportunity. He’s recording the performance, focused on turning it into a yet-to-be-named comedy special.

“I want to put it on Amazon Prime, but I don’t know.” Roe said. “I’m trying to get my jokes to the point where they are acceptable to everybody.”

The Oh G show offers a strong supporting lineup that includes Brittany Brave, Riley Edwards, Marcello Hernandez, Grant Toliver, JoBob McGinney and Grace Victoria.

Tickets are a mere $5.

“It’s going to be a great show,” Roe said. “It’s going to be amazing.”

Roe expects to draw energy from some friendly faces. His brother is flying in for the show, and friends from all over the state will be coming to Miami.

“I feel like there’s lot of wind in my sails – a lot of momentum,” Roe said.

Comedy Night – Mon,, April 26, Tin Roof
The comedy starts early this week. If it’s the last Monday of the month, it’s time to head to the Tin Roof. Hennessy Williams and Phil Isme are co-headlining this show. Alex Novello is featuring, with Nik Macik serving as host. And something unexpected almost always happens at the Tin Roof.

Sunshine State Comedy – Wed. April 28, The Dubliner
Some newer faces are hitting this week’s show at the Dubliner. Josh Flipowski and Dave Lesteri are among those scheduled to perform, as is show veteran Zach McGovern. Five dollar whiskeys help put the room in a good mood.

Lenny Travis – Thurs., April 29, Biergarten
This is another one of those regular shows that tend to have a flair for the unexpected. Veteran comic Lenny Travis headlines this one. Perry Sak has recovered from last week’s birthday to co-feature with Nadeem Awad. David Sadman once again hosts.
