BOCA RATON – In a week offering excellent choices, Thursday’s Boce Bier Bash at the Biergarten in Boca Raton is the Applause Planner Pick of the Week because of its ability to help South Florida Comedy grow.

Normally a traditional headliner-feature-guest formatted show, Sadman Comedy Productions compiled a showcase instead – but this one is a bit unique.

Seven comics scheduled to perform – Nadeem Awad, Anthony Terzo, David Sadman, Fasil Malik, Danny Fineman and Gina Savage – are not only some of the best local comics, they all also produce regularly scheduled comedy shows in Palm Beach and Broward counties.

For all the up-and-coming comics out there, this is a must-attend show. Study the vastly different styles of comics who have at least five years of stage performances on their resumes and meet some of the people who can help advance careers.

(With that in mind, Saturday’s James Yon show at the Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce would be a wise attend, but more on that in a bit.)

On top of networking opportunities, comics and comedy fans will also get to see one of Kaycee Conlee’s final South Florida performances before she moves back to Los Angeles. The show begins at 8 p.m.

Applause Planner – Plan On It

House Party Comedy Show – Monday, June 7, The Whistle Stop
After taking Memorial Day off, this Monday Matt Bellak show returns to the Whistle Stop in Boca Raton as a great way to kick off the week. Matt Ross, Anthony Terzo, Mark Christopher, Abby Ballin, Freddy Finnerty and Brian Coranado are all scheduled to perform at this free show that begins at 8 a.m. Bellak’s shows keep a quick pace, so the night moves enjoyably.

Wise Guys Comedy Show – Wednesday, June 9, Tavolino
Comedy fans looking for an upscale show this week can head to Coral Springs on Wednesday. Frank Del Pizzo headlines this event, with Dan Caso, Mark Christopher and Danny Fallon also scheduled to perform. Perry Sak serves as host. Tickets are $50 and include a salad, entree, dessert and one drink.

Dirty Laundry Tour – Wednesday, June 9, Palm Beach Improv
It’s a strong week at the Palm Beach Improv. Local comics Rodney Badger, Sean Mullins, Drew Illa and Mike Cintron have been traveling the Sunshine State the past few weeks. Now this group of talented comics are back in the PBC. Support local comedy.

Anthony Rodia – Friday, June 11 – Sunday 13 Palm Beach Improv
Kevin Farley – Friday June 11, Saturday June 12, Palm Beach Improv
Quite and interesting and entering situation at the PB Improv this weekend. Nationally known Anthony Rodia is handling the early shows on Friday and Saturday. Then Kevin Farley steps to the microphone for the second show. Tickets for each of the night’s show are sold separately. Kevin Farley may quickly become somewhat of a regular on the Applause Planner.

James Yon – Saturday, June 12, Sunrise Theatre
Here’s another talented comic at a great venue. James Yon, host of the TV show Funny Not Famous, makes the drive from Orlando to Fort Pierce. He’s great on the show and is a proven entertainer as a headliner. Jake Klark, Casey Peruski and Spaz are also scheduled to perform.
