DELRAY BEACH – The reviews are in – and they are overwhelmingly positive.
Jim Patterson’s film “The Resurrection” premiered on Tuesday at the Movies of Delray in Delray Beach, and the Applause Break cameras were there.
In the top video we asked some of the three dozen comics who appeared in the film, the primary actors and other moviegoers for their thoughts on movie.
Not surprisingly, everyone raved about the film.
ApplauseBreak.com also created two more videos from that night.
In the one to the right, writer and star Dean Napolitano interviewed Patterson about the film and the premiere night.
“The Resurrection” is the third in a trilogy of films that follow Patterson’s death and his path into heaven.
In “The Resurrection,” Patterson reaches heaven’s gates only to be sent back to earth to help save a struggling comic, played by Napolitano.
Patterson’s character returns to earth in a more youthful form and is portrayed by South Florida comic Casey Peruski. In the bottom video, Peruski humorously argues that he makes a better Jim Patterson than Patterson himself.
South Florida comedy fans can decide for themselves the winner of the Jim Patterson-off.
Patterson and director Miguelito LaMorte intend to submit “The Resurrection” to various film festivals. Ultimately it will be viewable via streaming on Amazon.
