DELRAY BEACH – Comedian Mike Vecchione apparently made quite the impression during his appearance on the The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Conversations between Vecchione and host Joe Rogan prompted a couple of different noteworthy stories, both of which are highlighted in today’s Stand-Up Spotlight.

In the first, Vecchione prompted Rogan to discuss his preparation for large theater shows (spoiler: he doesn’t simply wing it). The second story details how, as a young comedian, Rogan felt so depressed following some shows that he questioned his career choice.

Fortunately for the comedy community, Rogan persevered.

Also included in today’s spotlight is a review of an intriguing documentary about the history of Chicago comedy, and a feature about Judy Gold and her take on why woke restrictions on comedians miss the point of comedy.

There’s lots of funny to be had today. Have at it.
