DELRAY BEACH – Is Tom Brady really about to trade passes for punchlines?

Multiple news outlets are reporting that the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback is considering giving stand-up comedy a shot. The move would delay his jump to the television booth as an analyst.

Applause Break never really found Tom Brady’s interviews to be all that humorous, but he did make a laughing stock out of the New York Jets and several other NFL teams for a couple of decades – not that the Jets needed his help.

STAND-UP RUNDOWN:NFL legend Tom Brady has drawn up a game plan for a new career in stand-up comedy but his inner circle has been trying to talk him out of it, RadarOnline.com has learned.

According to sources, “Tom was a terrific quarterback, but he needs to toss this idea before it’s too late,” said a source who heard the football star’s material.

STAND-UP RUNDOWN:Netflix is about to break a barrier that it has never crossed before: live streaming. The world’s largest streaming service is gearing up to show its first-ever live event in the Chris Rock stand-up comedy special “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage.”

Apparently, that isn’t enough live content to satisfy Netflix. The service has announced that it will be offering a live pre-show starting at 9:30 p.m. ET on March 4. Hosted by Ronny Chieng, “The Show Before the Show” will serve as something of a warm-up act, featuring appearances by Arsenio Hall, Leslie Jones, Deon Cole and more.
