DELRAY BEACH – Given the chance, a comedy scene can emerge in unexpected places.

The latest example? Apparently Arabian comedians have created a burgeoning scene  – in Germany.

Even more encouraging is that several comedians enjoying success are female, performances that likely wouldn’t go over too well in their homeland. That’s the lead story in today’s Stand-Up Spotlight, and it’s enlightening.

The Spotlight also checks into Palestinian comedy today with an EqualTimes.org.

There’s also a Q&A with Indian female comic Aditi Mittal that explores her journey in stand-up comedy. Finally, there’s news that Jay Leno and Adam Carolla are teaming to create a comedy fantasy camp.

Funny knows no boundaries.
