DELRAY BEACH – Comedians are known for going to great lengths to get gigs, but what these two comics did is a bit ridiculous.

Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn, also know as “The Scummy Mummies,” elected to take their act to Mount Everest, performing a stand-up comedy show at their Everest base camp in front of an audience of about 30.

Clearly, they must have been high – you know, taking comedy to a new peak.

Today’s Stand-Up Spotlight also includes news that Kevin Hart is teaming with BET to bring back “Comic View,” with one of the first performers being T.I. There will also be a new season of “Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring” coming to YouTube.

A new week is upon us. Make it funny -no climbing necessary.
