DANIA BEACH – On Wednesday South Florida comics and comedy fans will have the opportunity to help one of their own.
December 14 is the night that the Dania Improv welcomes the Laughing Badger Comedy Show: The Rodney Badger Fundraiser Show and Silent Auction.
A comedy veteran, Badger is battling Interstitial Lung Disease. The disease forced him to leave his day job and has forced him to spend more time in hospitals than anyone would like. Proceeds from the night will aid Badger and his family with the financial issues induced by the disease.
Badger has assembled a strong lineup of local comedy talent to entertain. Ricky Cruz, Dominic Perenzin, Cindy Ann Boisson and Mark Christopher are scheduled to perform, and Badger will also take the stage.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are $25 for general admission, $50 for VIP, which includes an on-stage photo with the comedians. There will also be a silent auction, with the proceeds going to Badger. And those who want to help but can’t make the show can do so via his GoFundMe page.

Dean Napolitano – Farmer’s Table, Boca Raton
Here’s more comedy for a good cause. Dean Napolitano is heading south from the Orlando area to headline the Lettuce Laugh show in Boca Raton. Proceeds from the event, which includes a raffle, benefit comic Jennifer Hellman’s Comic’s Crushing Cancer organization. Hellman will serve as the night’s feature comic, with David Sadman hosting the show. Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are $30.
