DELRAY BEACH – Fresh off a couple of strong South Florida shows last month, Al Ernst is about to make his return to the area.

And he’s going to do so in a room that’s not only new to him but also new to comedy shows overall.

Ernst will be the first comic to headline producer Fasil Malik’s new venue at Hyatt Place in downtown Delray Beach. Part of Malik’s successful Spill The Beans series, this is the first of the shows to take place in Delray.

In late June Ernst headlined a tremendous show at Tim Finnegan’s in Delray Beach. Carnival Cruise Line’s two-time Entertainer of the Year, Ernst will take the stage on Thursday in preparation for a stand-up comedy he’ll record at the end of August.

The past few months have been a bit crazy for Ernst, as detailed in this story, but his career appears to be surging once again.

Malik will serve as the night’s feature comic, with Joe Nay hosting the show.

The Hyatt’s downtown location makes it easy to find a quick dinner before the show (Atlantic Ave. is only a couple blocks away) or maybe a few drinks afterward.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are $20 in advance via Eventbrite, $25 at the door.
