BOCA RATON – Quasi-retired comic Bruce Smirnoff rides again tonight.

Smirnoff co-headlines the third Sadman Comedy Speakeasy Lounge show, which takes place on Wednesday above Arturo’s Ristorante in Boca Raton.

Unfortunately for most South Florida comedy fans, seeing Smirnoff live tonight won’t be possible. Late Tuesday Sadman Comedy Productions announced that tickets for Sadman Speakeasy III had sold out.

That’s great for Sadman, the performers and anyone who already has tickets – but not so great for anyone hoping to arrive shortly before the show to catch Smirnoff’s act.

For those who won’t be able to see Smirnoff tonight, maybe this will help.

Applause Break recorded the above video of Smirnoff’s performance during his set at the grand opening of the Sadman Speakeasy. Prior to this performance, Smirnoff hadn’t performed in about one year. In fact, Smirnoff considered himself retired. In fact, he still does.

Smirnoff elected to perform at the grand opening to help David Sadman launch the lounge. With the Sadman Speakeasy located only a few minutes from his Delray Beach residence, Smirnoff continues to return to the Speakeasy, delivering hilarious 15-minute sets.

He will have performed in all three Sadman Speakeasy shows. Wednesday will see the return of Richie Minervini to the Sadman Speakeasy stage. A health issue prompted the veteran New York and cruise ship comic and actor pulled out of the second show.

Local comic Carl Rimi, the third of the three-headed headliner, makes his first appearance at the Sadman Speakeasy. Feature comic Nadeem Awad returns, joined by Steve Lamm. Sadman hosts the event.

Applause Break will be there too – cameras rolling. The plan is to create more great videos like this one.
