DELRAY BEACH – DNA ancestry testing doesn’t always go as planned.

That’s one lesson South Florida comedy fans can learn from watching Zach Bugarin’s stand-up comedy.

In the above video Bugarin details his foray into ancestry tracing, where mistakes defintiely were made. (Warning: the video does contain foul language.)

One of South Florida’s busiest comics, Bugarin’s been working hard this week. On Monday he performed at the Whistle Stop in Boca Raton. The following night he took the mic at the Wine House Social in Delray Beach.

The video comes from Tuesday night’s performance.

That Tuesday show marked the return of comedy to the Wine House Social – formerly N2 Wine Bar – for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

Approximately 50 people enjoyed the cozy, intimate show – listening intently and laughing heartily.

At first glance the turnout may not look like much, but the number appeared larger inside the relatively small wine bar. And this happened on a night where there were two other comedy shows in downtown Delray Beach.

“It definitely turned out to be more than I anticipated,” Wine House Social owner Dina Branham said.

Bugarin went three-for-three to start the week by performing at Uncle Scotchy’s on Wednesday.

Miss those shows? Have no fear. Bugarin is part of the Wise Guys Comedy and Dinner Show at Tavolino Della Notte in Coral Springs on July 14. Flip Schultz headlines that show. Anthony Terzo and Stephanie Wood are also scheduled to perform, with Chad Ridgely hosting.
