DELRAY BEACH – It’s time to raise a toast to beer.
That won’t be a problem for many of South Florida’s favorite comics.
Tuesday, September 28 is National Drink Beer Day and South Florida comics Nadeem Awad and Jesse Cohen didn’t waste any time getting started, arriving at the Duck Tavern in Boca Raton as the bar opened.
In the above video Awad and Cohen responsibly enjoyed some beer, and Awad took video followers on a mini-tour of the bar that’s known for having beers from all around the world along with a large selection of craft beers.
Coolest note about National Drink Beer Day: it falls on the birthday of famed brewer Arthur Guinness, founder of the Guinness Brewing Company.
How are observers expected to celebrate National Drink Beer Day? Well, this one is kind of easy. Do what the name suggests. Drink a beer. If you’re not driving, drink several of them.
National Drink Beer Day seems like the perfect time to expand your beer horizons. If you don’t like IPAs (and that’s OK, they are way overrated), try a wheat beer. It might be a bit too early for pumpkin spice beer, but October is only a few days away so give it a shot.
With craft breweries popping up all over the nation, this would be a good day to visit one of the local breweries for a tasting, thereby honoring the day and supporting the local economy.
And if you live in or around Boca Raton, Florida, head to The Duck Tavern and get started on your own trip around the world. Once you’ve tried every beer they have, your name goes up on the wall.
Just remember, moderation is almost always the best drinking course to follow.
